Environment, Health and Safety
Our dedication to achieving excellence in environmental protection, safety and hygiene management is reflected in the safe and protected work environment we create for our employees, customers and even guests at our facilities. With a firm belief that such standards add value to our customers and to the community, we are dedicated to continuous improvement, and do our best to significantly reduce consumption of environmental resources, and waste.
Our environmental policy is managed in accordance with international standards, in particular ISO 14001, and together with our employees, work to achieve defined and measurable goals and objectives, prevent environmental pollution, and reduce safety and hygiene risks.
We are compliant with ISO 9001 quality management system. And conduct regular surveys, through external certifying bodies, to define risk levels.

Ethical Code
We believe that constant, uncompromising ethical behavior is the key to our long-term survival and success. As such, we have ensured an honest business culture, and created an ethical code of conduct on which our organizational culture and values are based.
The code serves to strengthen the bond between the Company and our employees and builds a relationship characterized by trust, reliability and integrity between the Company and our shareholders, customers, business partners, subcontractors and any other party that we deal with.
Community Involvement
We pride ourselves on a community involvement program that is integral to our day-to-day operations, and work together with various organizations to support their initiatives.
Etgarim (Challenges) Association – We have established a special relationship with this organization, which assists children, youth and adults with physical, sensory and mental disabilities. Etgraim works on improving their self-confidence and realizing their potential through outdoor extreme sport activities. Every year, we participate in Wheels of Hope – Etgarim’s exciting flagship cycling event that takes place across Israel.
Latet (Give) Association – At Rosh Hashana, Hanukah and Passover, our employees volunteer to distribute food to holocaust survivors and to families receiving support from Latet’s program.
Gordon School – A group of managers and employees from our Defense & Technology division volunteered at the multicultural Gordon School in Jaffa/ Bat Yam, helping students with homework, providing extra support in math and English and running social activities that introduced them to the technological and business world in their area. The project was followed up by a visit to our offices.
Shiur Aher (A different lesson) – Our employees offer enrichment classes in a variety of areas to ninth grade students at Mikveh Israel boarding school. The school caters to girls from a low socio-economic background, most of whom have learning disabilities. The Shiur Aher program promotes equal opportunities and encourages meaningful involvement.
Magen David Adom (MDA) – We join MDA for a blood donation campaign, encouraging our employees to donate blood and save lives!
Casa Yolia – We donated educational material and funds to Casa Yolia’s programs, which assist socially and financially disadvantaged children and youth. We also joined their “dreams of coffee scent” program in which every cup of coffee consumed at a MER Mexico office, contributes to this important cause.
The Day of the Tree – Every year MER Mexico celebrates the day by planting trees and contributing to the environment.
