Natural gas distribution is the last link in the long chain from the production facility to the industrial facility that will use it as a source of clean energy. The gas is received from the interstate or intrastate pipe and delivered to the customer’s facility at a lower pressure using small-diameter pipelines.
Mer Group has won a government tender to construct a natural gas distribution network in the North of Israel that will be used to transport natural gas from the large gas fields recently found in the Mediterranean Sea to industrial customers. The tender called for coverage of all aspects of developing the system, including planning and permitting, laying the pipelines and delivering gas to industrial facilities.
The transition to using natural gas for industrial purposes is set to deliver multiple benefits for its industrial customers, Israeli society and the planet. Natural gas is cleaner, less expensive and generates almost no pollution, allowing the country to develop its industry while protecting the environment.
