Dozens of mobile towers to be delivered to Peru and Bolivia

Holon, ISRAEL, October, 21st 2013: MER Group (C. MER Industries Ltd.), a world leader in digital communication infrastructure for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), todayannounced that its Telecom Division has been chosen to provide tower infrastructure solutions to a leading mobile operator in Bolivia and a leading tower management company in Peru. Combined, the rollout comprises of dozens of towers and reinforces its leadership position on the South American continent.

The win with the tower management company in Peru is significant in that it opens up a new customer segment for the telecom division in Peru. By moving into this segment, the company is able to further expand its reach in the market and strengthen its leadership in the region.

The rollout in Bolivia is one of several deals successfully concluded with one of the leading mobile operators in the country and is set to support the operator’s network expansion in order to improve coverage and provide access to mobile services across the country.

The Telecom Division has local operations in both countries including a full logistics facility and warehouses, to provide ongoing support forthis kind of projects.

In addition to telecom infrastructure, the division provides a wide range of innovative solutions including M2M enablement and vertical market applications, Mobile Financial Services (MFS), Cloud Billing, MVNO enablement, Smart City, as well as on/off board and remote/contactless payment solutions for public transport operators.
